In the six years I lived in Blackhawk, there were naturally several homes that were on the market. Of all the listing agents, it appeared that you guys were the only realtors that could move properties. You returned every email and phone call promptly, and that meant a lot to us. When endeavoring to sell our home in arguably one of the most difficult real estate markets in decades, in what was/is recognized as the worst real estate market in the country, Fort Myers, which was further complicated by a very difficult valuation having knowing overbuilt in both size and specification for our neighborhood, my wife Diane and I conducted an exhaustive search for just the right agents. The buyer’s agent in our transaction was an order taker, contributed little and went away on vacation in the midst the deal and Ted and Julie picked up her end as well doing all the heavy lifting and what the other realtor should have and did not. When the first contract came to us, we appreciated your honesty and candor placing our interests first by recognizing that it would take several negotiations to bring the contract to terms that we felt comfortable with. In the end you brought us a much better buyer and a contract with favorable terms. I don't know how we closed on schedule with some of the hurdles we had to overcome, but we did and in the end it sold for about what you thought it would when we originally met 6 or 7 months prior. Linda and Tom March 19,2005 A little more than a year ago, my wife and I began looking for a new house. We found a house for sale and called the realtors, Ted and Julie Hummel. Julie met us there, and although the house wasn’t what we were looking for, we unknowingly began a long and ceaseless relationship with the Hummel’s.
We initially thought we would choose one of those “low priced” realtors when it came time to sell our house. After all, realtors just look through the listings like everyone else, right? Wrong. We soon found those types of realtors just put a picture of your house on the internet and let it sell itself. So when we saw the tireless dedication to their clients and the devotion to their craft, it didn’t take us long to change our minds about what Ted and Julie could do for us. Now, I’m not going to sit here and tell you we found a house we liked and sold our house in a matter of weeks. That didn’t happen. We had a very small house and the Hummel’s told us up front that it may be a hard sell. It was, and at one point, the Hummel’s even volunteered to tear up the contract. But we refused and finally it did sell. And it sold for more than our asking price. All this was the easy part, though (for us, anyway). I am an inspector by profession and a perfectionist by nature. As we were looking for houses, we changed our criteria from vacant land in a certain area, to a certain type of house in a certain area, to a certain type of house in a different area, to a certain type of house in a certain type of neighborhood. Ted and Julie stayed with us through the whole ride though and even anticipated most of our decisions with alternatives. Not only do we now think of them as the best realtors, we also now think of them as good friends. We have recommended and will continue to recommend Ted and Julie Hummel to anyone who has any Real Estate needs. They work so hard to please their clients in everyway possible and they do. We signed to put our house on the market June 2, 2004, and on June 3, 2004,
Julie called to tell us that someone has put a bid on our house. My husband and I were shocked to say the least.
